Haslett-Okemos Kiwanis packs backpacks full of school essentials in partnership with Meridian Cares. The backpacks are assembled with the teacher’s recommended school supplies by the H-O-K members, and are distributed to families who qualify for free lunches and will be distributed prior to school starting. Haslett-Okemos Kiwanis supported the Youth Sports Pavilion at the Marketplace on the Green ($75,000). This facility offers a synthetic outdoor ice rink that is available regardless of the winter weather! The pavilion is covered, keeping the surface clear of snow and offers fun family entertainment.
